The Xiao Long Bao here is absolutely extraordinary! Each dumpling delivers an explosion of savory broth the moment you bite into it. The texture of the dumpling skin is perfectly delicate, and the filling is a wonderful mix of flavors, all balanced beautifully. It's a dish that showcases just how well these traditional dumplings can be executed. If you're a fan of this iconic dish, you absolutely have to try them--there's no comparison. Truly a must-order!

Tri dim is my go to Chinese restaurant on the UES. The service is excellent and the food always great as well. We have tried many dishes and all of them have been excellent so it's hard to pick a favorite! We've had the pork soup dumplings, hot and sour soup, egg roll, thick noodles, chicken with broccoli, sesame chicken, eggplant in garlic sauce and shredded beef with chili pepper. I can't wait to come back to try more!

Looking for dumplings of on the ues, tri dim Shanghai provides a tasty answer. Fried pork dumplings, pork soup dumplings and steamed shrimp dumplings - all good - the soup dumplings had a slightly sweet broth inside. Major faux pas, the waiter who kindly served the first soup dumpling broke one. I had green beans and crispy beef, as well - the crispy beef was a bit sweet and sauce forward; the green beans were good but could have used a bit of a chili crisp kick. Nice setting, aggressive water service. Overall good.

First time dining here, and it was pretty good! We were the first to sit down for lunch at noon, and the restaurant offered a decent-sized menu with plenty of options as I was in the mood for dim sum but my boyfriend wanted Chinese dishes. For appetizers, we ordered dim sum, starting with the steamed BBQ pork buns - they were huge and a favorite. The chicken dumplings in chili sauce were another hit, and the turnip cakes rounded out our dim sum selections nicely. For our main course, we had pork fried rice, shredded beef, and a custom-made dish of chicken with bok choy, beans, mushrooms, and cabbage. There was a slight mix-up with the shredded beef - we were initially given pork, which was actually tastier than the beef. Despite this, all the food was delicious. The only downside was the timing of the dishes. The chicken dish came out first, followed by the dim sum, and then, after a while, the shredded beef and fried rice. However, the service was attentive, and our glasses were always filled with water. The restaurant was clean, and the overall experience was positive. We'll definitely be back for those BBQ pork buns and chicken dumplings!

Make a reservation for Sunday lunch. We got the last table luckily without one. The service was friendly and professional. The dumplings were all delicious. The room is decorated nicely. Great spot on the UES, walking distance from the Met Museum.

Was in the area and glad to find a well-rated Chinese restaurant. Service was prompt, and the food was delicious. I was impressed by how thin the soup dumpling dough was - it was so delicate that a tiny pinch would reveal the juicy meat. Check in on Yelp provided complimentary chicken dumplings (4), Yelpie!! We also ordered the crispy duck rolls, which combined my two favorite things in one - duck meat and spring rolls. For the entree, we opted to share a portion of the scallion beef dish. The flavor was spot on, and the portion was perfect for 2.
